Former Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Student

Kara Lee, a former high school teacher in Cross County, Arkansas, has been arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault in the first degree and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. According to authorities, Lee is accused of engaging in inappropriate physical touching and sexual intercourse with a male student. The alleged incidents took place in November and December of last year. Following a report to the Child Abuse, Crimes Against Children Division, an investigation was launched leading to Lee's arrest. The sheriff's office has stated that the investigation is ongoing. In light of the allegations, Lee has resigned from her position. Cross County Superintendent of Schools, Nathan Morris, has issued a statement addressing the incident.
