Controversy Surrounds RFK Jr. Fundraiser Gala

The upcoming RFK Jr. fundraiser gala, organized by two Kennedy PACs, has become the center of controversy with a number of invited guests denying their participation. Scheduled to take place on January 22, on the eve of the New Hampshire primary, the glitzy event organized by super PAC American Values 2024 has been advertised to feature appearances by Martin Sheen, Mike Tyson, Dionne Warwick, and Andrea Bocelli. However, the event faced backlash when Sheen refuted the endorsement and attendance claims made by the PAC. Warwick also denied any knowledge of the gala, calling the announcement 'absolutely ridiculous.' Bocelli's representative stated that the singer will not be in the U.S. during the time of the event. The controversy further escalated when Bradley Whitford, co-star of Martin Sheen on 'West Wing,' emphasized that Sheen does not support Kennedy. The Kennedy campaign, on the other hand, has disassociated itself from the event, with the press secretary stating that the campaign has no knowledge of the guests' attendance. Despite these denials, there has been no official response from American Values 2024 regarding the controversy surrounding the event. It remains to be seen whether Mike Tyson, the only invited guest yet to respond, will be attending the fundraiser gala.
