The assault, which took place on Tuesday morning, resulted in the deaths of at least four civilians and left close to 100 people injured. Zelenskyy expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and provided updates on the situation through the social media platform X. According to Zelenskyy, the barrage consisted of almost 100 missiles of various types, but the Ukrainian defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down at least 70 of them, potentially saving countless lives.
