Statesboro Police Department Community Photography Contest Winners Announced

The Statesboro Police Department recently unveiled the winners of their community photography contest, which sought images reflecting the heart of Statesboro to adorn their office walls. The announcement was made via their official Facebook page. The objective was to gather snapshots that encapsulated the spirit of the town, with rewards offered for the top five submissions. A total of 103 entries were received, from which 19 photos were shortlisted by the department's officers. Lieutenant Kevin Wadley, the mastermind behind the contest, expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming response, stating, 'We were really impressed with how everybody responded to it. A lot of the photos we got were high-quality photos. You could tell people really took the time to think about it and really work on it.' Notably, the department partnered with Bull & Barrel and Del Sur restaurants to provide $100-150 gift cards for the winners. Wadley emphasized that while not all submissions emerged as victors, the department plans to display all of their favorites on their walls, regardless of winning status.
