Ojo, a freshman, also collected four steals and three assists as the Cavaliers improved to 10-0 and handed the Monarchs (6-1) their first loss of the season. The game was played at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in the Classic Gold Division in the annual girls basketball showcase in Hampton. It was a rematch of a state semifinal last season won by Princess Anne on the way to the program’s ninth state championship in 10 seasons. In the latest matchup, the Cavaliers led 34-30 at halftime before pulling away. PA outscored Menchville 19-15 in the third quarter and 15-7 in the fourth. Princess Anne’s Jizelle James had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds with three blocks and Tinasia Spencer had 11 points and five steals. Nevaeh Reid hit five 3-pointers for the Monarchs and finished with a team-high 17 points and Cyriah Griffin added 12 points.
